A Business Systems Analyst with strong insurance knowledge and advanced SQL skills is required to join an InsurTech provider delivering software solutions to the insurance market.
The role focuses on implementing and configuring the insurance technology platform, working directly with insurers to understand their operations and align the system with their business processes. You’ll lead client workshops, gather requirements, and translate them into system configuration and reporting outputs. SQL will be a core part of the role, used to build reports, extract and analyse data, and troubleshoot issues during delivery.
Key responsibilities:
Engaging with insurance businesses to gather requirements and run workshops
Configuring the insurance platform at administration level to meet client specifications
Building reports and MI using SQL, Crystal Reports or MS Report Builder
Using SQL for data extraction, analysis and troubleshooting during projects
Supporting integration with client systems, testing and user training
Producing project documentation and contributing to delivery planning
Requirements:
Proven Business Systems Analyst experience, or similar, within insurance or InsurTech
Strong knowledge of insurance operations, including policies, claims and accounts
Hands-on SQL skills for reporting, BI/MI, data extraction and troubleshooting
Familiarity with database applications and reporting tools
Experience presenting solutions, leading workshops and working directly with clients
Strong communication skills with the ability to manage delivery independently
