IT Service Operations Manager required, mostly remote, by a medium sized retail organisation with it's head office near Dartford. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong IT infrastructure engineering background to take the lead on the IT operations management of a multi site organisation, responsible for implementing the strategic vision with the support Head of IT, the IT team and 3rd party suppliers. A starting salary of up to £52,000, enhanced holidays, a good pension, gym membership, and more is on offer, along with the chance to obtain certifications and other training.


In this role, IT Service Operations Manager will ensure the Service Desk team are performing, the group wide infrastructure is behaving, and strategic projects are moving forward. You'll look after the cloud and on premise data storage systems, security and servers, you'll manage the suppliers, proactively seek out problems and improvements, and contribute to strategy. You'll also serve as the highest possible escalation point for serious IT engineering incidents.


The right IT Service Operations Manager candidate will be ITIL qualified and have several years of infrastructure engineering experience, and ideally service management experience. Knowledge of cloud and on-premise Microsoft systems including O365, AD, Exchange, and Teams, VMware, Networking, and commercial applications such as CRM, HR, Accountancy, etc such as Sage. Desirable experience includes Agile and Prince2 and any experience in retail would be handy too.
